Black Princesses Arrive in Colombia for FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup

The Black Princesses of Ghana have successfully arrived in Bogotá, Colombia, as they gear up for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

 

The team departed Accra on Tuesday evening and landed in the Colombian capital on Wednesday around 5:45 PM local time.

 

Upon arrival, the team received a warm and lively welcome from the Colombian Police, who greeted the players with cheers and traditional music in a short but spirited ceremony at the airport. This vibrant reception set a positive tone as the team prepares for the challenges ahead.

Ghana is drawn into Group E, where they will face Austria in their opening match on September 2. The team will also go up against Japan and New Zealand in what promises to be a competitive group stage. As the Black Princesses embark on their seventh consecutive World Cup appearance, they are focused on surpassing their previous performances and advancing beyond the group stage for the first time.

 

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup officially begins on August 31, 2024, with the Black Princesses eager to showcase their talent and determination on the global stage.
